How far in advance should we plan?
Earlier is generally better for high-demand seasons, limited-capacity camps, larger groups and complex multi-country journeys. Roselands will assess what is realistically available for your dates before recommending a route.
What do Classic, Signature and Premier mean?
They describe accommodation, privacy, pacing, access and planning intensity—not the moral value of the trip. Classic emphasizes strong value; Signature adds more privacy and personalization; Premier adds exceptional properties and high-touch coordination.
Are Roselands journeys private or shared?
It depends on the product. Private transport or guiding, shared services and hosted group departures should be identified in the proposal before booking.
What is normally included?
The confirmed proposal controls. It should identify accommodation, meals where applicable, transport, guides, activities, park or permit fees where included, airport services and other agreed services.
How do deposits and final payments work?
The payment schedule is stated in the confirmed proposal and booking terms. Supplier deadlines and nonrefundable commitments vary by journey.
Do I need travel insurance?
Roselands strongly recommends appropriate comprehensive travel insurance and may require particular coverage for some itineraries or group programs.
Who operates services outside Kenya?
Where Roselands uses an in-country destination partner, that operating model should be disclosed in the proposal rather than presented as identical direct capacity everywhere.
Can Roselands accommodate children or multigenerational travelers?
Yes, where the route, accommodation and activities are appropriate. The design process should consider age, pacing, rooming, driving time, mobility and activity requirements.
What about dietary or accessibility needs?
Tell Roselands as early as possible. We will work to verify what the selected suppliers and route can reasonably accommodate before finalizing the trip.
How are community and heritage visits handled?
They are selected for purpose and fit, not as spectacle. Roselands favors locally led, permission-based and fairly compensated experiences. Youth-facing visits require additional safeguards.
Can Roselands arrange student or university programs?
Institutional and learning programs are reviewed for group requirements, duty of care, operating responsibilities and any applicable student-tour compliance before sale.
Do you publish prices online?
Roselands may publish qualified starting guidance only after current supplier costing is validated. Until then, pricing remains proposal-led so that quotes reflect season, route, accommodation, party size, taxes, fees and availability.
